VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Content Writer

What you’ll be doing…

The Marketing Content Writer is responsible to tell the ASI story across all media channels and will develop all content including but not limited to, advertising, email web, social, and print.

Use ASI tone and voice to reach out to a diverse set of users and to create action and ignite response to nonprofit’s goals

Creating informative, concise, eye-catching, and innovative articles, social media, presentations, print and more

Researching and organizing a myriad of facts and sources

Interviewing sources

Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with team for new ideas and strategies

Researching markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original

Collaborating with marketing managers, program managers and upper managers

Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, guides, white papers, etc.)

Other duties as required

What we’re looking for…

Must provide at least 3 online articles, white papers, or presentations

Must commit to 6-10 hours per week

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent grasp of English language

Creative and innovative thinker and planner

Confident in producing work across multiple platforms

Able to align multiple brand strategies and ideas

What you’ll be doing…

The Grant Writer researches and seeks new and renewal funding from foundation and corporate sponsors. The Grant Writer will also assist in the development of reports and/or proposals for corporations, foundations, individual donors, and other development activities in coordination with the Grants Manager. Use ASI tone and voice to reach out to a diverse set of users and to create action and ignite response to nonprofit’s goals.

Perform research and develop donor profiles to identify, evaluate and prioritize prospects.

Prepare and submit funding proposals for general operating, program support and capital programs as appropriate.

Provide outstanding stewardship for nongovernmental funders, ensuring reports, other updates and requests are completed on time or early.

Assist in maintaining the system for tracking status and deadlines of all funding applications, renewals, and, for nongovernmental funders, grant reports.

Develop and implement media relations and executive communications/thought leadership activities, including setting the strategy for our public relation and ensuring success in generating brand awareness of ASI.

Manage PR projects while adhering to deadlines, and deliverables and budget considerations.

Manage social media presence for the company across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.

Coordinate closely with Design and Marketing team on social imagery and promotion plans for campaigns and events.

Provide coordination and project management to ensure event success.

Build and retain direct relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.

Partner with HR to showcase talent brand across social media properties.

Maintains Crisis Communications materials, documents procedures and recommends improvements.

What we’re looking for…

1-2 years of experience in a sales, marketing, advertising, event or retail related setting.

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field.

Startup experience as a PR Manager (or a willingness to be part of one).

Experience in customer service or other people-oriented fields desired.

Exceptional communication skills.

Excellent time management and ability to prioritize.

Ability to maximize social media platforms.

The Project Manager manages and oversees planning, execution, reporting and training of assigned project(s). The position is responsible for delivery of project commitments and customer satisfaction, on time and on budget.

Establishes project scope by discovering and validating business and technical requirements.

Oversees project life cycle using agile and waterfall project methodologies.

Manages a project budget including time tracking by project phase.

Develops project related training, and facilitate client workshops and discussions.

Implements solution by monitoring project progress; tracking action items; conducting design and implementation reviews.

Provides project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Provides end-to-end project management.

Develops supporting documentation including risk logs and requirement specifications.

Maintains regular and proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure timely updates, risk management and issue resolution.

What you’ll be doing…

The Senior Project Management Lead drives project management strategy across the ASI community. Partnering with Department Heads and other stakeholders, you will define best practices, set in place standards and find innovative ways to solve complex problems in the delivery of sound project management. You will use your expertise in multi-project management, resource management, team engagement and customer service to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness.

Build effective partnership with clients (ASI Management Team colleagues, ASI Coalition partners, etc.) to understand their challenges, pain points and existing processes.

In consultation with team(s), create, own and improve project management processes.

Develop standards and best practices for project management with ASI, educating and training where needed.

In partnership with People & Culture (HR), recruit project team members.

Ensure team members trained in ASI processes and standards.

Provides end-to-end project management for delivery of project commitments and customer satisfaction, on time and on budget.

Maintains regular and proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure timely updates, risk management and issue resolution.

5-7 years of senior and expert experience in multi-project management leading teams.

What you’ll be doing…

The Human Resources Business Partner provides consultation, support and solutions to designated business units or functions in matters related to people and culture (HR). Interprets human resources policies, programs, and guidelines and in the areas of talent acquisition, employee/volunteer relations, performance management, engagement and rewards, learning and development and other Human Resources areas.

  • Serves as the first point of contact for the assigned business units or functions for all people and culture (HR) related matters throughout the employee/volunteer lifecycle.
  • Provides guidance to business leaders to promote engagement, increase productivity and retention, to improve work relationships, build morale, and support a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Partners with the business leaders and line managers to assess processes, concerns and challenges and ensure integrated HR solutions and strategies are aligned to the business needs.
  • Provides support and guidance on employee relations issues, diagnoses the root causes and identifies appropriate interventions. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Recommends methods
  • to minimize or prevent future issues.
  • Supports business leaders in development and implementation of the optimal organizational structure.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Analyze trends and metrics for reporting, forecasting and planning purposes.
  • Reviews Human Resources policies and practices and recommends improvements for optimum achievement of intended purposes of such documents and practices, and achievement of the HR business plan.
  • Ensures compliance with labor law requirements, state legislation, company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for…

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations or related field from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field)
  • Startup experience (or a willingness to be part of one);
  • Strong work ethics and commitment to excellence;
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written with clients and colleagues;
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize;

What you’ll be doing…

Reporting to the Founder and Executive Director, the Director, Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the roadmap for ASI’s marketing and brand strategies to drive awareness, relevance and respect among the target audiences. Develop and leverage the client’s amazing influencer networks to create a lead generation machine.

  • End-to-end ownership of the Marketing team, from strategy, processes, budgets and OKRs.
  • In collaboration with the Founder & ED, build a ASI brand strategy roadmap and see it executed in 2019
  • Lead a team responsible for the management of digital campaigns, creative, social, events, PR and other marketing programs
  • Optimize existing platforms, such as: Facebook, Instagram etc. and implement new platforms, building the brand to drive awareness and clout so that the client is seen as a leader in the field
  • Mobilize the Marketing team to “get the plan off the page” with efficiency and flexibility measuring results and adjusting the plan to reach goals quickly
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the executive team
  • Lead the evangelism for the brand vision both internally within ASI, and throughout the broader ASI coalition community
  • Speak and actively participate and network in the local/virtual marketing community
  • Other duties as required

What we’re looking for…

  • 7+ years marketing leadership experience
  • Marketing degree or an MBA would highly valued
  • A strong background in digital marketing (SEO, SEM, PPC, etc)
  • Experience building (or rebuilding) a strong brand
