Digital Marketing

Develop and implement marketing campaigns that promotes our mission and services. Enhance brand awareness within the digital space and as well as driving traffic to our website. We are looking for motivated individual who would be really excited to take up this challenging role of Volunteer Digital Marketing Manager.

Essential Tasks

  1. Assist with the day-to-day management and distribution of contents. Development and execution of overall media strategies and marketing.
  2. Cross functional collaboration with the marketing and project management teams to ensure shareable content is aligned with the overall enterprise message.  
  3. Write and publish social / web posts and campaigns.
  4. Build & maintain a digital marketing strategy around the promotion of ASI initiative


Min Qualifications required: Bachelors / Masters
Min Experience Required: 2 years
Experience or Knowledge in a specific subject or area required: Bachelors in any subject with at least 2 years experience in Social media marketing
Minimum Volunteer hours required: (in hrs. per week) 4 hours
Project Duration: Ongoing

Skills

  1. Previous experience in digital marketing and / or social media marketing
  2. Excellent writing skills and a writing sample to showcase your work

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the professional and efficient project management and delivery of events in the annual portfolio
  • Build all aspects of an events calendar in alignment with the fundraising and community outreach initiatives
  • Manage external outreach strategy to promote events via various channels (social/email/website)
  • Set up marketing automation process to send out email invites. Experience with Mailchimp is a plus.
  • Reach out to bloggers to get them along to events
  • Create high quality event marketing material supported by internal designers and the marketing team
  • Drive content marketing, i.e. live tweeting from events.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a community within the company; use Bitrix to update on recent events and motivate volunteers to come along/support
  • Create a monthly newsletter to inform target audience about upcoming and past events
  • Data management – develop and maintain a clean list of target contacts for email marketing purposes. Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus.
  • Cooperate with Events Executive and marketing to promote and publicize events
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
  • Assist in conducting pre- and post-event analysis to understand effectiveness and impact of the event concept and report on outcomes
  • Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders internally and externally

  • Create and develop graphic design production work for website;

The Head of Operations provides leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that Advance Social Innovation (ASI) has the proper operational controls, administrative, reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the ASI.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the organization. Bottom line: Help build an effective organization.
  2. Together with Board and the Founder’s support, help the organization to achieve and surpass its business and impact goals and objectives.
  3. Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the organization to the Founder of ASI.
  4. Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  5. Collaborate with the head of HR to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel (Volunteers) designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization.
  6. Act as a lead “client-care officer” through direct contact with clients and partners to gather information about how ASI can improve its services.

Work Environment and Culture

This volunteer position operates in a virtual environment. If you reside in Bay Area, CA this roles requires once a month meeting with the Founder of ASI.

ASI’s culture is entrepreneurial and invites collaboration by all. There is need to develop right kind of accountability.

Volunteer Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This volunteer position regularly requires 10 hours a week, preferably 15-20 hours of week.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  2. At least 10 years of strong operational experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Master’s degree in business or related field.
  2. At least 10 years in a senior management role.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing human resources, information technology, or operations.

The Role

The Highlights 

  • Further Develop and Manage ASI “Project Management Group” to support projects driving process, people, and/or technology transformation.
  • Teach and guide our project managers’ to act as a trusted adviser to our project and stakeholders at all levels, which may include senior-level executives.
  • Develop goals and milestones for the group and manage the accomplishment of those goals.
  • Guide the PMs to effectively scope and manage small to medium size initiatives that drive process, people, and/or technology transformation.
  • Develop ASI training program for the PMs to lead and manage teams that include client, third-party vendors, and/or Partners.
  • Work with Executive team to communicate the overall short & long term needs & objectives of the Project Management Group

The Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on project management, change/transition management, and/or management consulting experience
  • Proven experience driving user adoption and acceptance within complex technology-based change initiatives
  • Working understanding of PMP and/or ADKAR or related project and change management methodologies; certification preferred
  • Strong client presentation, written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills
  • Proven success managing high performing teams within challenging environments
  • Successful application of a variety of project management tools and methods
  • Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks and issues
  • Bachelor’s degree required – MBA preferred

  • Manage workload for all production resources including design, Front-end development, Back-end development and quality assurance to ensure a successful delivery of project against timeline and budget.
  • Think strategically about solutions and product development at scale; get into the details of the technology and ask the questions to push the project forward.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various volunteers during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Flawless execution of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives. Synthesize customer feedback and needs to Product teams.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in project management: business/revenue analysis, scope definition, capacity planning, program/project management, and Agile methodologies.
  • Previous customer-facing project management experience (2-3 years min.) at an agency or software company.
  • Previous managing experience leading a software development production pipeline.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, self-directed environment – be comfortable as a self-starter
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Firm grasp of technical concepts such as HTML/CSS, Front-end, Back-end, and databases
  • At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science
